Bend Over Beckham!
The British film, Bend It Like Beckham, made it’s US debut on the 25th of February 2003. It has been very popular, ranking on the top ten of all movies shown for weeks and earning a total US gross of $15.2 million so far.
What’s most amazing was that it took more than 6 months for the show to get to the US. When I was back in Australia last July, I saw the movie in a cinema in Sydney. It was fitting to know that I watched it before everyone else did.
Normally, most movies get shown in the US first before they are exported overseas. For some big movies, such as Matrix Reloaded, the movies are released internationally on the same date to combat piracy and to prevent some smart arse teenager from revealing the ending and spoiling it for everyone.
As an aside, I have been very slack with updates to the web site. This is because I bought myself a new Dell Inspiron 8500 laptop, and have been busy playing with it. The GasBGon testing has not been completed, mainly because I have not been very flatulent lately.
I plan to post my final photo gallery of my Las Vegas trip from last Thanksgiving! And I am also working on introducing functionality that will allow people to post their comments on each blog entry and maybe even the photo galleries.
