Hi there. I also am hoping to install tom tom software on my N40i.

Hello. Could you say to me how to install tomtom7 on N40i because you said : “Tomtom7 runs but will be a bit more difficult to set up due to issues with the memory card!”

Hi jammaner,

Thanks for the info on the N40i. I’m still on TomTom 6 and didn’t realise TomTom 7 was out. I’m running TomTom 6 on my O2 Atom with a bluetooth gps receiver and it works heaps better than my old Navman Pin300 in terms of satellite reception. Pity the speaker isn’t loud enough though! I have to switch the music off in the car to hear the directions.

By the way, the N40i is a Windows Mobile 5 device (like an Ipaq PDA), and once unlocked, can run tomtom6. Tomtom7 runs but will be a bit more difficult to set up due to issues with the memory card!

Hi can you help i purchased a navman pocket pc pin of e-bay last year and i got some instructions with it how to reload tom tom and safecom wireless lan card for internet access , i only had to do this when the battery whent flat once or twice , but i have lost them and let the bat go flat and can,t re load them can you help please ,i can remember, but i had to cut a file of sd card and paste it to a file on pda memory and the same gose for the network card

i have a navman pin300 bought it new and hardly used for 3 years bec it crashes a lot.now reopened the box and screen frozen at sat search.
i m thinking of loading my tom tom 0ne software into it.

do i have to delete the smart st fr navman before downloading tom tom into pin.

can you take me step by step incldg usb attachment bec i m not computer savvy-altho i have copied maps into my nokia gps phone microsd card recently.
