We repair the XBOX 360 RROD in our shop in Lincoln UK.
We have fixed over 300 xbox consoles to date.
You cant just fix the RROD because it will just keep hapening, you have to modify the cooling to prevent it from coming back.
The xclamp does help a massive ammout though.

I just bought an Xbox360 Core (the oldest version ever made) which has the Zephyr motherboard and it has the low end heatsink on it. I fixed my friends Xbox360 Elite and so I'm going to see if I can fix this $30 one I got on ebay. I really hope it works because I would like to have an xbox of my own.

Thought i would mention if you have the newer board ie jasper that has the epoxy on the corners of the cpu and the gpu you dont need the bolts to do the xclamp fix just bend the original clamps out a little then re fit them this will pull the heatsink closer to the gpu and cpu

I had the 3 RROD with error code 0020 and the x-clamp mod fixed it right up. Well worth the 5 - 10 bucks (off ebay) to see if you can resurrect your console

I bought this 360 on ebay for about 30 dollars, just to mess around with and to see if I could fix it. The thing was absolutely filthy inside... Anyway, I have the Xecuter pads in it currently. They worked for all of 10 minutes, then it was back to Red Ring again. Currently, the original heatsink is in there. So I bought an Elite heatsink on ebay today, as those are of better quality. I'm also going to apply the X-Clamp fix. Hopefully this will work, and keep that bad boy up and running.

Thanks very much for detailing your experiences with fixing your Xbox360 :)

Basically I've ordered both the Xecuter memory pads and the X-Clamp bits off eBay. I'm pretty confident this will get rid of my overheating 2 RROD!

Thanks again
