My apologies to the few loyal visitors who still come back regularly hoping for updates.

My interests over the past few years have changed. I have grown less interested in the gadgets & electronics, and have instead acquired a new passion for looking after clothes and keeping them looking their best.

I do want to get back into blogging once more, but my future posts would be random ramblings of all sorts. I am currently obsessed with keeping my shoes looking their best, and I have some practical tips to share that I believe would be of benefit to some.

As a .Net web developer, I think it’s high time I also post code, tips & links that can help other fellow developers, just as how others have helped me. Sharing is caring.

And finally, while I find I don’t have to acquire the latest and greatest toys, reparing them (like my previous XBox 360 posts), tweaking and giving them new life is still something I do from time to time, so if anything interesting crops up I’ll blog about it.

Let the pollution of the search engine indexes begin!

For the past year, I’ve neglected this site and have not done anything with it, which resulted in out-of-date content, huge drop in search engine rankings and tragically, a sharp drop in visitors.

Now, the site is powered by WordPress 2.0, one of the internet’s most popular opensource blogging software. Wasn’t too painful porting the posts from the old site over, as they were stored as XML originally. I have also recently upgraded my other blog, ahbeng.net (which runs on Drupal) to the latest version. Will blog more about my experiences with both WordPress and Drupal, and what my recommendations are should you be interested in setting up your own blogging system.

What are my plans for jasonwong.net? Well, I plan to update all the content on this site to begin with. I also want to make this blog geek focused, blogging about IT related stuff & toys. ahbeng.net will be a blog about my personal social life, and anything else that doesn’t belong.

I will also be using this site as a resource for web-development/coding/database/infrastructure related hints, tips & techniques. I can never remember something brilliant I did in the past, so blogging it on this site which I can have access to anywhere anytime would be ideal. Plus, others often approach or give me help so blogging about it benefits everyone, not only me!

Unfortuately, my previous host has also decided to go on a permanent holiday, but I found out too late. Therefore, jasonwong.net was off-line for a long period of time, and I’ve lost my precious search engine rankings! Serves me right for neglecting this site.

Nevertheless, I’ve rebuilt most of jasonwong.net. There are a few things that need to be fixed or tweaked up, and I’m going to climb back up the search engine ladder.

You should be able to view all the galleries but there are some minor problems under the hood that you probably won”t notice anyway.

The photo galleries don’t work anymore due to a server configuration that has affected the code. I’ll be working on this and will have it resolved soon (I hope).

By the way, no one informed me of this error as the configuration change was done a couple of days ago. Thanks alot for not visiting jasonwong.net regularly!

Also, jasonwong.net has been listed in the Open Directory Project. Go to dmoz.org and type in “jason wong”.

Unfortunately we are ranked at number three but dmoz.org is managed by real people (so they probably didn”t like my photos). With regards to the other search engines, we have no significant placements yet!
